SOURCENEXT to Provide Apps for "Fairisia" (Smartphone for Teens)
(May 28, 2014 –Tokyo, Japan) SOURCENEXT Corporation, announced today that they will be providing the below titles as preinstalled apps to the "Fairisia" model. "Fairisia" is a smartphone developed by MegaHouse Corporation (henceforth, "MegaHouse"), designed specifically for teens.
1. Details of Release
Since September 2013, SOURCENEXT have been focusing on the development and sales of Android apps,
and in an aim to further expand in this area, starting March 2014, they began providing their apps to the
"au Smart Pass"(monthly app subscription service by KDDI) and to the "docomo SugoToku Contents"
(monthly app subscription service by NTT DOCOMO) from May 2014. Now, to provide their apps to an
even broader audience, they have agreed to provide 4 of their popular apps –including their blue light
reduction app, security app and dictionary app to MegaHouse for their "Fairisia" model (to be released on
July 2014).
This marks the second time that SOURCENEXT will be providing their app to MegaHouse, following their first app provision which took part back in March 2014, with their "Tablets for Juniors Tap me+ (plus)".
SOURCENEXT see this new business as opportunity to expand into the elementary / junior high school kids market and also believe that their provision of the "CHOU Blue Light SAKUGEN" (blue light reducer) app to kids will also lead to an overall increase in product exposure and increased public recognition.

"Fairisia" is a smartphone developed by MegaHouse, designed specifically for teenage girls (from elementary to junior high). The device comes preinstalled with various apps such as security, dictionary, camera apps, etc. (around 30 apps) and also comes with a Parental mode which allows parents to manage and make sure that their kids are safely protected. The device also comes equipped with a 1GB data transmission card which allows users to enjoy features such as email and other data transmission services for a monthly fee of 2,390 yen.
