Announcement of Business Partnership with Rovio Entertainment Ltd.

 

SOURCENEXT Corporation announced today that they have entered into a preliminary agreement with the intent to discuss the terms of actual distribution agreement with Rovio Entertainment Ltd.(hereafter referred to as Rovio) as of September 24th, 2013. Details of the partnership are as described below.

 

1. Background of Business Alliance

Rovio is an entertainment media company which created the "Angry Birds" series –a popular game series with a total of over 1.7 billion downloads around the world. Through this collaboration with Rovio, SOURCENEXT aims to utilize their planning / developing / marketing strengths that they hold in the Japanese software industry to further expand upon the future possibilities for both parties.

 

2. Objective of Business Alliance

SOURCENEXT aims to launch and handle the sales of Rovio’s game, "Angry Birds" PC version for the Japanese market as well as provide the game to users through the "Unlimited Software Downloading Service".

 

3. Rovio Entertainment Ltd. –Corporate Summary

4. Future Forecasts

SOURCENEXT aims to launch and handle sales of Rovio’s "Angry Birds" series (PC version) for the Japanese market and to provide the game to users through the "Unlimited Software Downloading Service".

Although the financial impact of the partnership may be minimal for this fiscal year (ending March 2014), they expect that it will contribute greatly to sales in the next fiscal year (April 2014 to March 2015).
