This product is developed based on Stellar Data Recovery Inc.’s (United States) "BitRaser (Home Edition)" with minor modifications and feature changes that help users delete data from their PC safely and easily. By removing all your sensitive data such as your credit card numbers and Email addresses, it can prevent data from being leaked from your PC’s –best for when disposing old PC’s or giving it away to friends or selling it to used PC shops.

 

 

[Increasing Demands for Data Erasure Software –30% Increase in Number of PC Disposals for Past 6 Years]

According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, in 2014 over 440 thousand used PC’s were collected from businesses and homes in Japan. Since 2009 this number has continued to grow, and in a mere 6 years, the total number has increased by 1.3 times^*1. Due to the increase in the number of PC sales and an increase in the number of households having multiple PC’s, as well as other factors such as PC malfunctions, end of OS support periods, the demands for PC disposure and recycling has seen a gradual rise in these recent years.

In addition to this, the increased usage of internet shopping sites and internet banking sites, has led to more sensitive information (such as names, date of birth, addresses) and credit card numbers, as well as personal photos, sensitive business documents to be stored to PC’s.

Despite this fact, many people don’t realize that formatting the hard disk doesn’t completely erase these data from your PC but rather only makes it "invisible" from the Windows OS. Using special tools, such data can be restored and therefore it becomes important for users to use the proper data erasure procedures when disposing / recycling their PC’s.

　After downloading and installing the product, users will be able to create a "bootable CD / USB" with which to boot their PC from. With this USB boot support, users can now boot their PC’s even if they don’t have CD drives on their PC’s.

※Hard disks / drives with Windows installed need to be erased by using this "Bootable CD / USB".

 

Supports Deletion of Single Partitions / Drives OR entire PC

The product can not only erase the entire PC, but also allows you to select particular partitions / drives to delete. In addition to deleting the data, the product can "erase partitions" and also "initialize" the drives.

 

National Security Level Data Erasure

Users can select from 3 different levels of erasure:

1．Normal Format (erases all data and overwrites with zeros one pass)

Speed: Fastest

Number of Deletions: 1 pass

 

2．Department of Defense deletion (DOD 5220.22-M), used by the Pentagon

Speed: High-speed

Number of Deletions: 3 passes

 

　 3．Peter Gutmann method (overwritten a maximum of 35 passes)

Speed: Low-speed

Number of Deletions: 35 passes

 

 

 

Verify Your Deletions

　Comes equipped with a verify feature to check randomly whether the erased data is deleted properly and also creates an official report to certify that the data has been completely deleted. These reports can be saved in HTML format.
